Alright. Blizzcon was this previous weekend. Not many interesting things came out from it, apart from MONK CLASS IN DIABLO III.
Of course, I kidd. World of Warcraft : Cataclysm (LOLCAT, for short) was announced, and a large chunk of infomation was released. Sadly, alot of it was leaked before Blizzcon, ruining the surprise somewhat. A summary after the break.
Alright, first things first, they’re adding in two new races. Goblins, who will be fucking rad mc’awesome-sause, and they have go-karts for mounts. FUCKING RADTASTIC! They’re another cartel of goblins who have allied with the Horde, so the Steamwheedle Cartel, who own Rachet, Booty Bay, Everlook (or whatever it was called), and Gadgetzan, will remain neutral. They have some cool racials, like they always get the full 20% discount at stores, and they have a permanent 1% bonus haste.
The Alliance, on the other hand, get Worgen. Well, at least they’re not Sparklepires. Nothing lamer than Sparklepires. They are humans from Gilneas (South of SFK), who didn’t get to turn into zombies (which are evil, and therefore rad) but instead got infected with RETARDATION err, LYCANTHROPY, or the curse of X-TREME BODY HAIR AND CLAWS (Eww – S). Anyway, they got the power of just dealing like 1% extra damage with all attacks, and being able to turn ugly.
The other thing is… the Old World is going to hell. Kinda. The expansion isn’t called Cataclysm for nothing. SHIT IS ABOUT TO GET REAL. Basically, Deathwing is a nasty prick, and has come from the elemental plane of earth Deepholm, busting out in a place roughly north of Stormwind, in a place called, unimagintively, Deathwing Scar. In addition, Ragnaros has busted out of the elemental plane of fire (where you summoned him from, and sent him back to in Molten Core) and is trying to suceed where Archemonde failed (fucking over the tree on hyjal). In light of this massive revamping of the old world, I’ve decided that I need to go around the entire world and take as many screenies as I can, to catalouge the amazing Old World before it’s much too late. :(
Okay. What else is left to talk about? There are a fuckton of changes to the stats on items, but that’s about as interesting as getting kicked in the face. (Read : NOT FUN) I don’t believe that Northrend is getting changed, as we don’t notice the shit going down, as it happens when we go fuck up Arthas (sp?) in Icecrown. That’s right, ALL OF AZEROTH is in either Northrend or Outland. What the?
